Its beautiful. The burst of light has a pretty profound effect on the darkness that seems to drip into the foreground on the left of the picture. As always your art seems to have a very smooth and fluid feel to it. The rounded curves really draw the eyes upward around the flower and downward in every other location.

It seems as though the plant is bursting open with the force of a firecracker. Hmm...but what kind of puzzles me is why the light extends so low down the stalk of the plant. I can only assume by the petals that it is the bud that is exploding but the light and the green plantlike destruction farther down the stalk makes me wonder how it is connected with the blast. Also the beautiful hanging vines in the background never seem to get very close to the plant, but never touch it. o.0 are they repelled by the blast? Am I writing too much? Could I write more?

the light extends down because if you look closely, that's a fay of some sort inside the flower, presumably it's the one creating the light
